 Opening Reception on Friday, September 2, 2016 - 5:00 to 8:00 pm
Show will run from September 2 - 29, 2016 The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator will host Janesville native Barbara Mathews as their featured artist during September. A well-known watercolor painter, for Mathews’ painting is a very important part of her life and has brought her numerous awards and opportunities. Mainly self-taught, she has taken many workshops and after years of painting, now teaches. As she relates, “Winning awards for your painting efforts are gratifying, but nothing compares to watching a student realize that they have the ability to be creative and that they can paint. We are all on our own art journey, for me, teaching painting has been a highlight in my art career.” Her paintings cover a range of subjects and techniques and we are happy to be able to showcase her work. The public is invited to the opening reception held Friday September 2nd from 5 to 8 pm. Mathews will be there to meet the attendees and discuss her work. The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator is located in downtown Beloit at 520 E. Grand Avenue. The show continues through September 29th. The gallery is open Monday from 10 to 2 pm; Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 5:30 pm and Saturday from 10 to 3 pm. |
