Opening Reception, Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Show will run from September 5 - 27, 2014 The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator is pleased to announce that the September show is a duo show featuring artists Susan Sweetin and Alice Blue. Sweetin, a watercolor painter describes her work as paintings created by accidental experimentation mingling water with color. Like life, the results are a surprise happening leading the artist away from the original thought into a whole new realm. Sweetin has been painting since the late 1990’s when a trip to France inspired her to take up a paint brush. Sweetin, a Beloit artist is well known for her exquisite floral paintings. Blue, who works mainly in acrylic and oil, paints a wide range of subjects. She finds her inspiration in the world around her as well as from the depths of her imagination. Taking up a paint brush just 12 years ago, Blue relates that she is following the family tradition of turning to the arts after meeting her career goals. The exhibit opens September 5th with an artist’s reception from 5 pm to 8 pm which is free and open to the public. The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator is located at 520 E. Grand Ave. Beloit, WI. The exhibit will continue through September 27th and is open Free to the public Monday from 10 to 2, Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 5:30 and Saturday from 10 to 3. |
