Beloit Art Center Camp Art Camp is a time of artistic exploration and experimentation for students ages ranging from 9-16. In the morning we will meet for two hours and work in two-dimensional media. The basics of drawing, painting, and design will be covered. After a short lunch break, students will head downstairs to the Pottery studio to work, for two hours, in the three-dimensional medium of clay. All supplies are included. Students will provide their own lunch. A refrigerator is available. Available Sessions: 10 am – 2:30 pm from July 15 – 18 and July 22 – 25 Ages: 9-16 Pricing: $250; Morning only $125, Afternoon only $125 Contact info: 608-313-9083 Registration: Open now; call 608-313-9083 to register ![]() Photography Design Class at Beloit Art Center Wednesday Evenings May 1st - 29th, 6 to 8 pm The cost of the class is $75.00 During this 5 week class, local photographer Steve Bogdonas will help you learn how to take top quality photos with your digital camera. The class is designed for a beginner through intermediate photographer and will cover: Camera basics, classic light and color theory, portrait lighting and a heavy dose of classical design for the photographer. Assignments are given at every class along with class critiques and a mini-photo show at the 5th week of the program. With the surge of today's photo software there has not been a greater time to understand and practice the principles of design to enhance your photographic creations. Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6-8:00 pm. You attend according to your own schedule. Your first eight sessions are $150.00 and include 25 lbs. of clay and glazes to cover the projects done during these sessions. You will learn the fundamentals of clay, hand building techniques and three guided sessions on the pottery wheel. After the class you may attend any open studio for $10.00 an evening (this includes the firing of all the pieces that you make during this time) and you may want to join the glaze co-op for $15.00 or purchase your own approved glazes.
