Entry Process:

Submit your entry by filling out the Photo Exhibit Registration Form above.
Make payment on website using your credit card. You will receive a receipt upon payment.
Email .jpg images to: [email protected] saved with the title of each piece.

IMPORTANT DATES

Entry forms, fee & images due: January 28, 2024 (by 2pm)
Notice of acceptance: February 4, 2023 (by e-mail)
Artwork delivery dates: February 23 (10am-4pm), February 24(10am-1pm)
Exhibition dates: March 1– 28, 2024
First Friday Opening Reception: in-person, March 1 – 5pm-7pm
Pick-up dates: March 29 (10am-4pm), March 30 (10am-1pm)

ENTERING

Submit Google Entry Form by clicking the link at the top of the page.
Participant may enter up to 3 images on the entry form.
Entry fee is $35 for BAC members, $40 for non BAC members.
Each image must include title, dimensions & price if being sold.
Submit digital images with the title of the piece and ATTACH to an email in .jpg format. Email to [email protected]
All images must be free of signatures and watermarks.
All entry forms, fees and images are due by 2 pm January 28th. No late entries will be accepted.

SHOW RULES - Please review before submitting

Photographs exhibited must be appropriate for viewing by all ages of the general public. Artwork that is overtly sexual, racist, violent, libelous, slanderous, demoralizing, or discriminatory in nature is strictly prohibited. The BAC reserves the right to make all curatorial decisions regarding the display of the work.
Images must be original content taken by the entrant. Images created in whole or part by image creation software (AI) are prohibited and will result in removal of the submitted works from the contest, and a ban of the participant in future photography exhibits.
Entries must be photography media with as much or little post processing as the photographer desires.
Images must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Beloit Art Center will refuse any entry it deems to be unsuitably framed or ready to hang.
Preferred submission size - long edge 1500 pixels.
Minimum printed dimension of an image is 11" x 14" or 154 sq. inches (without frame).
Entries must not have been exhibited at the Beloit Art Center in 2023.
An image can only be submitted once. Past/repeat entries will not be allowed.
Judging is based on artistic merit & not on the amount, type or skill of post processing used.
Judging will be based on a weighted point system with the following criteria:
• Composition – 50%
• Creative & subject matter – 30%
• Technical – 20%
Juror decisions are final. There will be three jurors.
Accepted work may not be withdrawn before the close of the exhibition.
Please refrain from posting accepted entries on social media until after the gallery reception and awards ceremony.
BAC will retain a 30% commission on items sold during the exhibition.
Artwork not picked up within 30 days of show closing will become property of the Beloit Art Center.
One entry (up to three images) is allowed per person.
