With the surge of photo software this is the time to understand and practice the principles of design to enhance your photographic creations. During this 5 week class, award winning local photographer Steve Bogdonas will help you learn how to take top quality photos with your digital camera. The class is designed for a beginner through intermediate photographer and will cover: camera basics, classic light and color theory, portrait lighting and a heavy dose of classical design for the photographer. Attention is given to improving the photographer’s ideas for entering photo shows and art galleries. Assignments are given at every class along with class critiques and a photo contest at the 5th week.
Classes begin Wednesday, August 2nd and end August 30th . They meet for 2 hours beginning at 6 pm. Class cost is $75. Size is limited so hurry to enroll. She worked in the Beloit School District for 10 years as a para-educator and substitute teacher. Two hallmark projects that she helped develop were Synetics Charter School, a project based learning academy, and the daVinci Room a creative learning environment to enhance exploration and to develop a “What if…” attitude. Swedlund is a professional Ceramic artist who has had a working studio at the Beloit Fine Arts Incubator for over four years. |
