Qigong, pronounced “chee-gong,” was developed in China thousands of years ago as part of traditional Chinese medicine. It involves using exercises to optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit to improve and maintain health and well-being. Qigong has both psychological and physical components and involves regulating the mind, breath, and body’s movement and posture.
If done regularly, it improves muscle tone, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Many people find it boosts their energy, stamina, and agility and gives an overall sense of well-being.
Nancy Mayhew is a certified Qigong instructor with 13 years of experience working with adults. This class will be held in the Sveum Gallery space at the Beloit Art Center.
PLEASE NOTE: UNUSED PUNCH CARD SESSIONS CANNOT BE REFUNDED.
