Opening Reception on Friday, January 8th, 2016 - 5:00 to 8:00 pm Show will run from January 8 - 28, 2015 January 8th the Beloit Fine Arts Incubator will host sculptor Salem Barker and contemporary artist Roni Golan. South Beloit’s Salem Barker has a background in mechanical and machinist trades that he used to develop his artists skills without a formal education or training in art. Beginning simply as an outlet for creativity, sculpting led to the joy of bringing his imagination into a tangible form. Often working in wood, the artistic twists and turns of his sculpture captivates his audience. Roni Golan is a Rockford contemporary artist and gallery owner. He often creates paintings at events such as weddings, parties and other gatherings that reflect the tone of the occasion. As an artist, Golan works with photography, metal, paint and furniture. His bold use of color with contemporary themes excite the senses. From 5 to 8 pm, the January 8th event is free and open to the public. Both artists will be on hand to meet the public and discuss their art. The show will continue through January 28th. The Beloit Fine Arts Incubator is located at 520 E. Grand Avenue in downtown Beloit. The Gallery is open Monday from 10 to 2; Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 5:30 and on Saturday from 10 to 3:00. Comments are closed.
