Students will begin to explore the world of throwing on the potter’s wheel in this introductory class. Starting with cups and goblets, we will also develop the skills to throw bowls during our 6-week class. Students will learn glazing methods needed to finish their unique pots. Returning or experienced students will be guided into advanced projects and throwing methods when ready after a review of fundamental throwing strategies. Creativity will be encouraged.
Clay and glaze will be provided. Students will need to provide their own tools, apron and hand towel. Sets of pottery tools are available for purchase in the BAC Gift Shop.
