![]() Photography Design Class at Beloit Art Center Wednesday Evenings May 1st - 29th, 6 to 8 pm The cost of the class is $75.00 During this 5 week class, local photographer Steve Bogdonas will help you learn how to take top quality photos with your digital camera. The class is designed for a beginner through intermediate photographer and will cover: Camera basics, classic light and color theory, portrait lighting and a heavy dose of classical design for the photographer. Assignments are given at every class along with class critiques and a mini-photo show at the 5th week of the program. You will learn the beauty of water and color mixing on your paper to make vibrant colorful paintings. You will learn to make washes and other basic watercolor techniques. Whether you are a beginner or have been painting for years, you will enjoy growing and learning the boldness it takes to let watercolors sing! Beginning Watercolor and Drawing Wednesdays: October 19th, 26th, Nov. 2nd, 9th , 16th , 23rd ,30th, Dec.7th 10:00-12:00 am In this 8 week class we will explore the wonderful and versatile medium of watercolor. We will be learning how to lay a wash, layer colors, and other techniques useful in producing vibrant paintings. We will also be considering the importance of drawing and sketching techniques. Students will need a Multi-media sketchbook and a set of sketching pencils. All other supplies are included. We will be using the highest quality of paper and paints that are affordable to give each student the true watercolor experience. $125.00 per student (This class needs a minimum of 4 students in order to run) Pottery Wednesdays: October 19th, 26th, Nov. 2nd ,9th,16th,23rd ,30th, and Dec.7th 12:30-2:30 pm In this 8 week course we will discover the versatile world of clay. We will be hand building and working on the pottery wheel. All materials will be provided. Each student will have at least 4 finished pieces at the end of this course. An additional glazing session maybe needed and will be scheduled at the end of the session. Students will also learn firing techniques (how to run a kiln), various glazing techniques, and the stages of pottery production. $125.00 per student (This class needs a minimum of 3 students in order to run) Private Art Lessons Lessons will be scheduled according to the students individual needs and my availability. $20.00 per hour. She worked in the Beloit School District for 10 years as a para-educator and substitute teacher. Two hallmark projects that she helped develop were Synetics Charter School, a project based learning academy, and the daVinci Room a creative learning environment to enhance exploration and to develop a “What if…” attitude.
