Gracing the Bell Gallery at the Beloit Art Center during the month of May will be the photography of Olivia Greer and her husband, William Ciaccio. Meeting in 2012, they quickly became inseparable, bonding over their love of statistical analysis, creative writing, as well as photography. They were married in 2015.
They came to Beloit from New York City to care for Ciaccio’s mother and they set up a photo studio at the art center.
Growing up in New York City, Olivia was immersed in the arts from a young age. She first experimented with photography in her early teens, finding the camera to be a wonderful tool for self-expression.
In 2014, she started Tuo Giorno Photography Studio and partnered with Ciaccio. Together, they have traveled across the country, covering breaking news events, beautiful landscapes, and everything in between.
They spent a few years in San Antonio where they were contracted as exclusive photographers by the San Antonio Riverwalk Association to cover all of their events and more. In addition to their work with the Riverwalk, they were hired to do commercial photography for select restaurants, a red carpet movie premiere, luxury real estate, as well as work for individual clients, specializing in portraiture and weddings.
Greer has been a member of the Professional Photographers of America since 2015. She also has certification in professional photography from the New York Institute of Photography.
Her work can be seen at the BAC, 520 E. Grand Ave. beginning Friday when a reception for the May show in both the Main Gallery and the Bell Gallery will be held from 5-8 p.m.
